For years now, Volley’s voice-controlled games have been bringing families together for fun (and competitive) game nights. We design our games to be engaging for all ages so that kids, parents, and grandparents can all play together.
Volley games like Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? and Jeopardy!, are appealing to players across multiple generations. However, until now, we’ve never built games designed specifically for younger members of the family.
Today we’re excited to announce that we are bringing our innovative approach to gaming to preschoolers and their families through a new partnership with Moonbug. Moonbug is known for its beloved kids entertainment available on YouTube and streaming services. With this partnership, Volley will be developing voice-controlled games based on family-favorite Moonbug shows like Cocomelon, Blippi, Little Baby Bum, Little Angel, Oddbods, and Morphle.
With Volley’s innovative voice technology, parents and kids will soon be able to play fun and educational games featuring their favorite Moonbug characters, from Blippi to JJ. But creating interactive voice games for kids is not easy. Understanding children's speech can be challenging and toddlers can get frustrated by technology that isn’t simple and streamlined. That said, we believe voice control can be an ideal interface for kids games and educational apps when built with those challenges in mind.
Kids love talking and learning through spoken language. With our technology, we can create on-screen feedback mechanisms that don’t require kids to have perfect facility with TV remotes.
After years of perfecting our technology to create gaming experiences that spark joy and strengthen connections among friends and loved ones, we’re excited to broaden these experiences to families with young kids. To make this vision a reality, we’re expanding our team by hiring for several roles on our new kids games team. Check out our job postings.
